Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement applies to the ISGAN Smart Grid Transitions Wiki (isganwiki.eu).
Conformance status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. It is partially conformant: most requirements are met, but some known issues remain, listed below.
The site is maintained in compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and the principles of EN 301 549 v3.2.1, the European standard for digital accessibility.
Known limitations
The following issues are known and are being addressed:
- Very small label text (below 11px) appears in some metadata fields on topic pages. These labels are being progressively increased in size.
- Form input borders in their default (unfocused) state may be difficult to see for users with low vision. Contrast has been improved as of April 2026.
- Touch target sizes for some interface buttons (user avatar, search) are smaller than the recommended 44×44px minimum. These are being enlarged incrementally.
- Animated content: no animations are present by default. All transitions respect the `prefers-reduced-motion` system preference.
- Third-party content: embedded content from external sources (linked documents, external references) may not meet the same accessibility standards.
Technical specifications
This website relies on the following technologies:
- HTML5
- CSS3 (including CSS custom properties and media queries)
- JavaScript (jQuery)
- SVG
Accessibility has been evaluated through:
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Review against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria
- Colour contrast verification using WCAG contrast ratio calculations
- Screen reader compatibility review (structural assessment)
