This page is read only. You can view the source, but not change it. Ask your administrator if you think this is wrong. ====== Create or edit a collection ====== <WRAP intro> Create a collection around a shared question, project or area of practice. Choose existing topic pages and explain how they contribute. Membership is maintained on the collection page. </WRAP> <WRAP collectionbuilder> Open the collection page you want to change and choose Edit. To create one, open a new page in the collections namespace. Editing requires the appropriate wiki permission. </WRAP> ===== Create a collection ===== Enter a page ID such as //long_term_planning//. The editor opens an existing page if that ID is already in use. For a new page, replace the template title and introduction, then open //Collection topics// above the source editor. Add and order topics, check their links and apply the selection to the source. Use the normal Save button to save your changes. If the helper is unavailable, edit the comma-separated //topics:// field in the collection metadata directly. Use canonical topic IDs, for example //planning, foresight, risk//. ===== Make the collection discoverable ===== Add a link to the saved collection on [[collections:start|Collections]]. This index supplies the automatic //Featured in// references on topic pages. A sidebar link is optional and controls navigation only. ===== Maintain a collection ===== Record the responsible curator and the last editorial review date in the //curator:// and //reviewed:// metadata fields. Use //YYYY-MM-DD// for the review date. The date records a human review, not an automatic page update. Canonical topic summaries are used by default. Use an optional collection summary only when it clarifies the topic's role in this particular collection. Removing a topic from a collection leaves its topic page intact. To withdraw a collection from discovery, remove its link from the Collections index. Removing only its sidebar link does not change membership or topic references.
